Urine infection..

Think i might have a urine infection

I'm getting pains low down and i need to pee every half hour/hour, i'm waiting for the pain when peeing (sorry tmi) as i normally get that when i get infections but it seems to be OK at the moment. Anyone had these pains for any other reason? e.g. if af was due of anything?

Sounds like a uti i'm afraid. Get yourself down the dr's tomorrow so they can take a sample and get you on some antibiotics.

When I was pregnant I was needing to pee all the time but I never felt uncomfortable with it or had any pain.

Whats a UTI??

I'm prone to getting urine infections due to my kidney problems which we hope will be sorted soon, but i'm used to recognising it by the stinging first.... thats why i thought maybe the low down pain could indicate something different like af coming (i think i'm wishing for af so much as i want to start TTC properly! lol)

If it is this bad tommorow i'll have to let my doctor know for yet more anti biotics...i hope it doesnt mean they won't do my CT scan on Friday...i want it over and done with!

UTI - Urinary Tract Infection.

Careful with too many antibiotics as your body can become resistant to them quite quickly. Drink loads and LOADS of water, and if you can find some pure cranberry juice (The kind with no added sugar that you get from an organic or health food store), that will help keep the bacteria from adhering to the walls of your bladder and get them flushed out more quickly. If you start to feel any pain, a teaspoon of bicarb in a glass of water will help. Stay away from all sugary foods as well and anything fried or spicy. Hope you feel better soon, sweetie!

I agree with melissa 5317 cranberry juice is suppose to be good if you have a urine infection
and drink lots of water dont leave it till you get to the stage you have to go the doctors
because you can get a bad water infection that it can cause blood in your urine
I had one of thesa in the past and there not very nice hope you get better soon xx

I know you came off your depo at the same time as me. I also thought ive had a water infection as ive been peeing every half an hour, had pain on my left side as well, and feel totally bloated!!! Just wondered if this could have something to do with coming off depo- ive had no stinging either which is what i usually get when its an infection???
Ive also totally gone off food and have really bad nausea- have you?? Ive done a test which was bfn so im not pregnant

Well i'm well and truely ill, i have a sore throut and runny nose, tummy ache, low down pain, feel really sick and a headache.

My guess is i have a cold and urine infection (but its still not stinging and i always ger stinging with my UI's)...not happy as i'm due my CT scan tommorow and i hope they won't put it back! - Going to call doctor just to inform him and check that i can go to my scan tommorow! I'm already drinking LOADS of water due to my kidney problem so i would have thought my body would flush out anything bad!

Oh i feel rubbish....i might have to come off the laptop for a bit as im feel very quizzy...

Hope you get to have your scan still. Maybe its a coincidence but i have all the same symptoms as you- could be depo ir were just unlucky and both caught the flu (although its 25 degrees here- not cold!lol).

I agree with everyone, you need to look after yourself and if it gets worse, dont waste any time and go see a doctor.

And PUT THAT HEATER ON NOW !!!
