Upset!

Yesterday I had an appointment at the day assessment clinic all was fine apart from high blood pressure and protein in my wee. Midwife phoned the dr to ask what they wanted to do with me. He said send her up to labour ward as baby is fully cooked we can break the waters..... So after getting over the shock there I was in the labour ward on the bed ready yay. The dr then come in asked me lots of questions and said he didn't want to break the waters now, he would do it in 12 days if nothing has happened and sent me home. I feel totally upset as I thought I was going to meet my baby by today...... Feel totally down in the dumps have had hardly any sleep and now back to the waiting game and as you all know it's a long wait when you want to meet your lil one.

Its really annoying in hospital when noone seems to follow the same rules! Does my head in fingers crossed you don't have to wait the 12 days Hun xxx

Ow this absolutely sucks . To get your hopes up like that then change their minds isn't fair! But on the plus side, it's inevitable that you'll get to meet your LO in less than 2 weeks .

Oh how rubbish, getting your hopes up and psyching yourself up for them to whip the rug from under you! Fingers crossed little one decides they wana meet mummy sooner rather than later x

I had the same thing last week-protein in my wee and high blood pressure and when I went to the hospital they took bloods as well. That's when they discovered it was all thè indicators of pre eclampsia and they induced me at 37+6 (baby born at 38+3). Seems a bit odd that they aren't going to monitor you more closely! x x

Thanks everyone, they are not seeing me until Wednesday now! Still swollen, backache and generally pissed off. The consaltant said the complete opposite to the midwife... It really annoys me when they all say different things. How can my blood pressure be sky high one min and the next normal and protein in my wee and half hour later a trace of protein "nothing to worry about" he said if nothing happens on its own they will induce me on the 20th...... Thats bloody 10 days away!!! Not happy.

I am having my section on the 20th hun. I know how you feel i was up for meeting my second at 38 weeks as that's when i was induced with Leo then they moved it to 39 weeks then as that's a Sunday and Monday and Tuesday were full i got to wait till four days before i am due lol x

38 weeks pregnant. Team blue!
