Update with piccies...

I haven't been around at all, it's been chaos here but in a good way. So many people have visited and we've been out and about loads too.

I nevr wrote my birth story because it was a bit pants (wet pants as my waters broke two days before labour!) but I wanted to stick some early piccies in and say hello. I miss lots of people here since I hardly get to the comp any more!

Anyway here's some very early piccies of Freya:

Oooh.. and her first smiles we managed to get on camera!

I can't believe how well stuff has gone. I've been very lucky and she's been dead easy to breast feed - she went from 6lb 5oz to 8lb 60z in the firts 3 weeks and is now 9lb 9 at 5 weeks! She also lets me get some sleep at night (most nights!) and usually only wakes once or twice for feeds. We've had 3 or 4 nights with 4 hours straight through and 1 with 6hours sleep straight through!

If I'd known that a crappy birth was getting rid of all my bad luck in one day I reckon I wouldn't have sulked as much as I did (bugger - maybe I've got some bad luck still to come though...).

I had a hell of a job getting those - unless I giver her ALL my attention she stops smiling. I had to take the piccies one handed and without stopping to look at the viewfinder AND I haven't managed to get any since despite trying, trying trying... We tried with two of us on the case only that doesn't work either because if we're both there and not BOTH giving her all the attention she stops smiling!

She sounds exactly like Cal, will give me a big smile if i look away at the camera she stops smiling.
She smiles alot first thing when we are having a cuddle in bed, will have to try and take one then.
Will have to try and master the camera without looking at it
