update on our time in mother and baby unit

We've been having quite a hard time since we got here and though there have been good and bad days they are more like bad and worse days at the minute.
I started new meds yesterday so hopefuly they will start to take effect soon. i'm sure my key worker is hoping so too as I have been truly awful to the poor bloke recently.
Charlie has been ill too which hasn't helped, he has a perforated eardrum and really isn't a happy man bless him.
But at the end of the day the unit and staff are lovely, I know I am in the right place, and although they think it will be a while before I get home (we been here 2 weeks already!) it will be worth it if I go home well and able to cope.

I'm glad you posted as I wondered how you were getting on. Hopefully it won't be long before you're home for good and feeling a lot better. I was in the mother and baby unit for 3 weeks so you shouldn't have much longer to go

had chat with doctor today she thinks I will be here another 3-4 weeks not what I wanted to hear but she said they increasing my meds very slowly due to pregnancy and cholestasis and i'm still having some very bad days.
Charlie had his first birthday here on wed which wasn't what I waned at all but staff were great and helped me do a little tea party for him and my mum and dad brought older kids in.
I still think i'm in the best place though I have threatened to leave several times!!! but hopefully I will soon be home and well and this can all be a distant memory
