Unsure?!?

Hi guys,

I am getting my 12 week scan tomorrow and am unsure wether i am supposed to have a full or empty bladder and if i should do anything else to get the clearest view.

Can anyone help?

Ive got my scan tomorrow too and ive just been told to drink about 2 pints of water an hour before!!

Thats going to be interesting when i usually only have to drink a glass of water before needing the loo!!

i wouldnt go there with full bladder coz chances r u will see the midwife b4 u have ur scan, just take a bottle of water with u and dont go for a wee afte u have left the house.

Totally agree, I saw the midwife b4 my scan and had to wait another half hour...by that point i was pacing the corridors trying to hold it in.
Monday im just going to drink a pint only and thats when i get out of the car at hospital

They don't do that in my area. You just have the scan. I haven't seen my midwife yet and I don't until the 8th August. My hospital sent me a schedule so I know when the appointments will fall, which is quite helpful.

Having said that, there's an equal possiblity they may be running late anyway. I don't think they were on my scan day because it was Friday 13th - I'm sure loads of people rearranged their dates!

yeah I already saw my midwife yesterday so just getting my scan tomorrow

OMG though....my hospital is the most disgusting place in the world....and you need to walk past a ward full of sick people to get to the scan room !! Which i thought was ridiculous.
