So rang the docs and see the Hv today. They are both not worried about Leo but I'm sure he has reflux and colic he's in a lot of pain screams and straightens his body when I take the bottle out he's also not pooing regular and isn't sleeping. So I'm going to change his milk he's on sma gold. Any suggestions of what milk I should change him to?

My older daughter had problems with SMA Gold, too, it made her really constipated. We changed to Cow & Gate, which was fine. I've also heard that Aptamil is good.

Sorry that your doc and HV weren't all that interested. I had the same experience. See if changing the milk helps, and if it doesn't, then just keep going back. If you get on their nerves enough, they might become more willing to investigate further and, if need be, prescribe medications, just to get rid of you - worked for me!

Mine had reflux and colic and was awful on sma gold. We changed him to Aptimal Comfort (Colic and constipation) and he has gone from strength to strength on it. Age has also helped cos he has grown out of things slowly but the milk made a big difference.

I think I will defo change the milk sma is a bit rubbish thanks ladies I'll let you know how I get on. With aptimal comfort is it okay to premake bottles with it as I do one for the late night feed? X

I got a milk powder dispenser pot (Tesco) and make a bottle of boiling water and then mix it when ready. It doesn't smell great and if left to long will seperate so probably best to do it that way. SMA is totally rubbish wish I had never listened to the OH and gone with it!!!! Bloody men. lol

What bottels do you use Hun , I began ruby with Sma gold and she was constipated all them time and was also a greedy baby , I was going to change to cow and gate hungry baby milk but decided to stick with Sma and began giving her hungry baby milk and we o longer have the problem with constipation . She did suffer with colic and I changed her bottels to dr brown and they worked wonders xxxx

Changing milk brands can cost quite a bit of money if it takes you a few goes to find the best for LO. Boots do smaller tins as well I think so maybe buy them first?

James has reflux but we used SMA and have had no issues with it I think it depends on the baby really but I have heard cow and gate or aptimil are good for babies with colic xx

Abi is the same, she had awful colic and suffers bad with constipation (about 6 days without a poo) we are on anti-collic bottles and changed a week ago to aptamil comfort. A huge improvement in her, she no longer screams for hours. not much of a change on the constipation yet but hoping it will soon improve. it is slightly more expensive than other milk but worth every penny x
