Uncontrolable itchy arms :(

Hi all.. just looking for some advice i am 29weeks preg with a little boy. The last few weeks i have suffered with uncontrolable itching on my arms. Am literally making myself bleed. No matter what i do or put on it just wont stop!! Midwife did bloods a week ago all ok. Am booked in again tomoro for more bloods.. has anybody else suffered with this and what is it (

I know this in third trimester itching is a warning sign for obstetric cholestasis (a liver issue) but if they are doing your bloods I would assume they have ruled that out? I'm not aware of any other big things to worry about but could it be hormone related eczema type thing? With my first baby I got skin conditions flare up like acne and dry scaly skin on my face and had some eye issues, with my second baby I seemed to have a flare up of anything related to sinuses. The doctors just kept telling me it was a reaction to the pregnancy (in both cases) and I would no doubt get better when I gave birth and I did x

I had this too! My bloods were also fine and I just chalked it down to hormones and the time of year drying my skin out.. I also have really sore patches that feel like they're sunburnt but there is nothing there.. I know it's awful, I'm afraid to say I didn't find anything to help other than baths (put some oats in the foot of a pair of tights, tie a knot and let it infuse, really soothing) otherwise I just put up with it It did come and go - some days I couldn't even bare to put clothes on and others I didn't really notice it xx
