Uh oh - same name...

Me & my cousin are both due within 3 weeks of each other. Saw her today and we've picked the same girls name, what are the chances!

Its going to make it difficult if I have a girl (she def is) when we see each other LOL.

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

Id be praying that if mine was a girl she'd be born first so I wasn't the one who seemed to be copying! Lol.

How often do you see your cousin? How well do you get on? Did you tell her you had the same name in mind?

Personally we ruled out a lot of girls names as OH's second cousins - same that he'd never even met - had those names

Is there anything else you like? Any variation of the name?

We get on well, were close but we live an hours drive away so don't see each other too often.

I am due first (but were both due in the same month) but I'm sure I'm having a boy, so we may use the name in the future, I won't not use it cos she's picked it. We've really struggled with a girls name and disregarded a lot because so and so is called it, but this one has stuck.

We might be OK cos the name I've picked is Ivy-Grace, and she's picked Grace on its own, so its not too bad I hope :-\ Grace is SO popular right now I don't think we will avoid having the same name as someone we know!

I wouldn't worry, my LO is Lexi-Mai and my niece is Zeiva-May, I picked Mai years ago so wasn't going to change it lol

Ivy-Grace is totally different to Grace so I really wouldn't worry hun!

Yeah I wouldn't really consider them the same. My brother picked the same name as our cousin's daughter but they live miles away so doesn't really matter. x

Yes, I can relate to this! My sis in law is due 3 months before me and her top boys name is the same as mine! They are finding out the sex next week. Fingers crossed!!!

We had the same issue, our girls name Sophia Grace, was the name of my girlfriends cousins two daughters, Sophia and Grace (two seperate girls). Im sure we still going to stick with it tho, they weren't close cousins, we found out their baby names after we decided our name haha

Haha, I've said to my SIL that we need to discuss names - we're due 6 days apart and neither of us know what we're having. She totally ignored my message about it though so I don't think she wants to "compare names" as it were!!
