They are identical on both sides of my 18month old sons head. Any1 have any idea if these are normal? xxx

no idea hon, owen has two fatty/veiny lumps on his back which are birth marks but no experience of what you mention. hope all is well and book a visit to the gp? didnt want to read and run x

my friends little boy had this last year at about the same age and it was apparently quite common, i'd get it checked out tho to be safe x

Ive been reading more into it on the net and apparently they are lymphnodes which inflame when the body is fighting and infection. Which would make sense as I only noticed them the day after he had bad tummy upset! They are starting to get smaller! So will give it another 2 days and if they r still there I will get him checked.

Thanks so much 4 the advice xxx

Hi there!

Do the lumps kind of move beneath the skin when you touch them? If so, Annie had this when she was quite young and we were told it was lymph nodes too. Hope LO feels better soon xx

Hey
Don't mean to intrude. My best friends little boy had this when he was about 8 or 9 months and it was because he had an infection (it was a cold in the end) and NHS direct said they were normal and to keep up his Calpol and they would go down by themselves :). Needless to say he screamed the house down at 2am because he felt poorly, but they disappeared after a few days :).
Hope this helps a little.
xx
