Do any of you TTC on the day of ovulation, or do you just try up to the day before you ovulate? Suppose you ovulate in the morning and you BDd that evening, would that lot of sperm have a chance of fertilizing the egg aswell as the ones before?

We don't only BD around OV. We do it every 2-3 days all through the month. That way we know we will be in with a good chance of catching the egg. (Not that it's worked so far lol  )

We defo BD on ov day.

The more times you do it the more chance there is of catching the egg. Like skairdy we try to do it every 2/3 days.

we do the same as the girls above, every 2/3 days although oh is getting sick of doing it now  :rotfl:

I OV around CD15/16 and we have BD on CD12, were too tired on CD13  , BD on CD14 (last night) and will BD tonight and tomorrow all being well

I really don't agree with u girls.!
I even don't agree with what they say about bdin every other day.
I read that the egg is only alive for 12-24 hours, so ur could be 12 hours. thats what i assumed for mine, and they say that sperms live in u for about 3 - 4 days. but this fact is not true for all. some one have a ph that don't allow the sperm to live long. or maybe the sperm is not that strong.
what i did is bding every day. but on ov day i db twice for two days every 12 hours, it was frustrating and dh didn't like it coz it was timed! it was hard work but it did work.
I did lift my legs as well, not sure if it was another reason but i did it.

But that also would be no good for people with low sperm counts as they say to only BD every other if that is the case. If you do it more often than that then the sperm count would depleate even more.

Glad it worked for you but it wouldn't work for everyone. We've tried everything to conceive in the last 18mths and nothing has worked so far. Doing every day, every other etc. Been checked out and they can fond nothing wrong. So no reason why it's not happened. Think it just boils down to the old saying that it'll happen when it's your time and not before.
