I'm 33 years old married. Been trying to conceive for the past year, no luck. I used an app to track my cycle to know the exact day and we did it on that day last month. I never missed my period ever. This month, I'm already 5 days late. I have slight cramps, fatigue, a small amount of white discharge and headaches. Tests show negative, I took the last one yesterday. Body temperature is 99.32F.

Could I be pregnant? :oooo:

If you're 5 days late and its caused by pregnancy a test would be positive by now. So you're options are that you've ovulated very late and aren't actually due AF yet (in which case you could still be pregnant, just early!) or that you didn't ovulate this month for whatever reason. Having one cycle a year where you don't ovulate is totally normal! If you don't ovulate, you don't get the surge and then drop in hormones that triggers AF. Eventually your uterine lining becomes too thick and you have a breadthroufh bleed. If this has happened you can expect AF to be very late. On my anovulatory cycle she finally arrived on CD43. If you miss a second period go to the doc and they'll give you tablets to reset your cycle. Good luck x

Hi Alex I feel your pain this has happened to me twice....I have regular cycle give or take couple days and about 5 months into TTC I had a 37 day cycle out of the blue. Basically AF eventually came after many BFN tests. Then the same happened to me last cycle....So now just over a year into TTC except this time is was 43 day cycle. Absolutely torture. You will keep second guessing but if no BFP it is highly unlikely you are pregnant. Late ovulation or just odd cycle much more likely. Sadly you just have to sit it out and wait.

Sending hugs....I was climbing the walls whenit happened to me x

I was told at the hospital that some women do take longer to get a BFP. If this goes on I'd talk to your doctor.

It could be a glitch in your cycle, if you’ve been unwell or stressed or even changed diet it can affect things. I would say tests would be showing an accurate result by now x

Hi Alex, I am in a similar position at the moment. We have been ttc for almost 2 years, we've had every test going and apparently no reason we should be having any trouble :wall2:

My cycle is usually between 34-37 days, I am currently on day 44 but had a bfn on day 40. Trying to hold out a few more days before taking another test however I'm guessing we've been unsuccessful again this month as I got a bfn so late on

As far as signs/symptoms go it's so hard to tell what is genuine and what is my mind playing tricks on me! I have been quite tired the last week or so, sore boobs on and off (but sometimes I get sore boobs with af) and I've been pretty hungry! I usually have a little bit of spotting when I wipe a couple of days before af arrives and nothing yet. I woke today with really bad stomach cramps, doesn't really feel like the usual af pains and now have diarrhea so think the cramps might be a tummy bug!

I just want to know what's going on now. I know it's pretty unlikely but I'm trying to hold onto a little bit of hope

Any update on you Alex?

Can I suggest to do a blood test? That should be more sure
