Hi. I am new here. I am trying to conceive baby number one. I started last year just after turned 40 by taking vitamins to help. I have however been unsuccessful. My husband took vitamins initially with me but said they made him fat. He has not cut back on his smokes and he does not exercise. I am taking vitamins, eating a breakfast and exercising, just walking for now. It's a start. I go walking with my mam but he won't walk with me later in the day and it's an effort at the weekends to get him motivated to go. I have been tracking with glow and opt and thought done right last three cycles but guess not. AF arrive today. We don't bd too much and looking to get advice on how to better our chances. I recently had fibroids that were removed and had a myonectomy also. I had a scan recently and more fibroids detected and I am on a list to see gynaecology but that is months still to go. Hubby wants me to read up on what we can do. Just so frustrating. Anyone any tips for bedroom department and how often should be happening. I am going to get myself more vitamins and opt and track properly and put in more time.

Hi hun.
Sorry if I come across harsh but I think your husband needs to be doing more to live a healthy lifestyle. Smoking, and no exercise can massively put a strain on your TTC journey. Is he eating healthy?! Vitamins also won’t be making him fat. So ask him to start taking them again, I would go for the wellmans conception ones.
It sounds like your doing all the work and he isn’t really too fussed.
It will be good to get your husband tested to see if there are any underlying issues. Again it looks like it is just you that is bothering with the doctor and the scans etc. It needs to be a two way thing.
Smoking can lower sperm count and also cause abnormal shape sperm so this is something for your husband to think about.
Are you aware when your ovulating?! You need to be having sex around this time. You can buy ovulation sticks that detect when you were ovulating.
I hope you get your baby one day x
