TTC - Confused by early ovulation pain (tmi)

Hi I'm new.
I have a 24 day cycle and am currently on CD9. Ovulation occurs CD12 - CD14 for me.
Now every month since I started getting O pain, it has been approx 24 hrs after my 1st +opk so very close to ovulation.
However, yesterday (CD8) I started with the same pain, even on the side it should be and it has continued today. I started with the opks yesterday as normal but so far all neg & no progressive darking yet. CM is now creamy (soz tmi). Could I be ovulating this early & missed my LH surge or maybe im going to ovulate in a 'the next 48hrs' kind of thing?
I was temping but my thermometer broke 2 days ago, so btt unreliable this cycle.
I wouldn't usually worry so much as we DTD regularly anyway but friday night my partner had to go away until Monday morning and is off again Tuesday morning until Friday .
Any thoughts welcome

Your cycle is really similar to mine, mine is normally 25 days and I ov on CD12 or CD13. Last month I had a really weird cycle, I did OPK from CD10 and there was just a feint line, over the next two days it for feinter and then disappeared. I ended up having a really short 22 day cycle so definitely ovulated early and missed the boat.

So based on this I would say you could definitely have missed the surge but keep doing OPKs for the next few days, our bodies do like to play tricks on us!

I had an ovulation pain on cd6 this week! I used to think the pain was ovulation but then I read it can happen before ovulation, so I think maybe there's no science to it and it could be an ovuary gearing up for ovulation. WIth creamy CM and no pos opk I doubt you've missed the surge. Keep testing. Some women do ovulate twice in a cycle by the way.

Hi and thanks for the reply. Its nice to hear from someone with a similar cycle to my own. I only have a 10-12 day lutheal phase so I worry things arent going to be easy
The opks you described is exactly what im experiencing this cycle, Sunday evening & 2 of yesterdays opks were fainter and then 1 opk yesterday no line at all
[TMI] CM increased still creamy until yesterday afternoon but then I noticed last night everything was suddenly dry and its the same this morning. This is very strange/new for me as I dont experience dryness, but there was no ewcm at all.
Pain is still there this morning, but went from a mild to moderate ache on sat & sun to a constant ache with random v. painful cramping.
I'm hoping the baby making w,th&f of last week has an early ov covered.
I'd give anything to be able to hand S.O. a wrapped bfp test on Xmas morning & watch his face. He wants this as much, if not more than I do bless him lol.
I'll definitely pop over to the Dec testing thread, im terrible in the 2ww, no control or will power whatsoever

Hi thanks for the reply. I didn't know about the pain sometimes being the ovary gearing up, i'll definitely have a Google, also the ovulating twice in a cycle cos i didnt have a clue about that either lol.
I've been a bit naughty this cycle & done way too many opks so only have 2 tests left. Not able 2 pick some more up either as the S.O.s Ex-wife is the assistant in our local chemist (dont want her knowing). So my plan is to be well behaved & test at 11am & then at 3pm today & hope I can get to the nearest supermarket early tomorrow morning, if I don't get a pos.

Twice a day should be plenty when it comes to testing. Internet cheapie opks from amazon are fine in my experience and you don't have to worry about cost.
