TTC 17 months :(

Hi everyone! Im new to this Looking for some support while im on this mission to get pregnant haha! My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 17 months now! Every month i get my hopes up that this might just be the month but it never is! My OH has had tests done and everything is good his end! Ive had bloods done recently and they came back ok. So next step is a scan which im due to have on thursday! Then next week we have our first appointment together as a couple! got everything crossed that they can help us

I feel so stressed out knowing that the problem is more than likely at my end and not OH but hes been very supportive! Just thought it would be nice to talk with other ladies who are currently going through the same problems as we are.

You have come to right place for help and support. Everyone is super friendly and no matter what issue or question you ask, someone has been there and can offer advice. I have found it very useful so far.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been trying for so long. It took my husband and I just over 3 years to conceive. Every month I was convinced that each pang or bodily ache I felt was pregnancy related that I drove myself crazy and totally obsessed. Results came back that everything was fine on both sides which actually frustrated me more as I had nothing to blame. I was convinced I would never have my own children and we even started looking into adoption options for in the future.

But it happened (and it honestly happened when I thought I was past my ov and on a quicky..ie: without 'trying') and it will happen for you. Don't beat yourself up by thinking it is you! But that is easy for me to say, I have been in your situation and I understand.

It took my partner and I 14 month to conceive.

I was absolutely obsessed with getting pregnant. I was constantly googling....using ovulation calander's....getting my hopes up every month only to be disappointed.

Then when we decided that we would stop trying and have some fun, take some trips, plan a holiday together in the new year that's when it actually happened. I think that constantly thinking about it all the time was what was actually preventing us from getting pregnant.

A friend of the family also had been trying for 5 years and it just never happened....till she started planning her wedding and thats when it happened for her because she had so much more on her mind.

Ano its soooooo hard to try stop thinking so much about it but really this is prob whats holding you back.
