Girls,

I need your opinion. An acquaintance of mine is selling her travel system. She says she bought it for 600 EUR and will sell it for 300 EUR. Here is the link: http://nuevaandalucia.blogspot.com/2007 ... pment.html Can someone tell me if this is a good deal?

Also, my hubby doesnt want to buy stuff like that just yet - is it too early??

(I posted this in First Tri as well... but then thought this is probably the best place for it)

that is a loverly pushchair hun, i desperatly wanted one but couldnt afford it

and for the whole to early thing i think that would have to be if u feel comfortable with getting it so early
could ur friend maybe keep it for a while for u ????

I know I would have felt more comfortable waiting until after 12 weeks, and then another little added comfort after 25.

Having said that, i waited even longer to order my pushchair and was so dissapointed when I went to order and found the colour I wanted was no longer being stocked.

It does sound like a good deal although personally I didn't want to spend a lot on something second hand; although i see in the link its 300 ONO? Make her an offer!

How well do you know the person selling it? I'm asking because you need to know that the car seat has not been involved in an accident or been damaged in any way. I think it seems quite expensive aswell. In England you can get a similar travel system new for about £300(about 398 EUR I think). It might be worth looking around to see if there is anything else you prefer and then if there isn't and you think it's a good deal then buy it. Will she hold on to it for you for a bit if you don't feel like you should buy it just yet? I would probably wait until I was past the 12 week mark.

Hmmm... OK thanks girls.

I dont know the girl at all really, but she is a well-known woman in the community, as she runs a blog and helps British people (for free) who are living here for a short time and dont know much about the place. I think she is trustworthy.

However, that has opened my eyes, that you can buy them in UK for 269 pounds! Things like that are so expensive where I live, but I bet if I travel away from the coast, maybe I can get a deal.

I guess I should wait...

I would wait hunni and get a brand new one for that price

xx

If you wait long enough, I'm sure Carrefour will have a special offer going... they had one last week for a travel system for 99€. I got one (different colour) and they are fab for the price... plus they aren't in the travel systems for long before you get hacked off at how heavy they are and you buy a buggy...

Plus if you look around you can get ones for much less than 300€ brand new... :) I'm going to assume you live in Andulucia so I can't recommend many shops, but try looking in Carrefour and Eroski for deals.... Especially as you will be due after the summer sales.

Also for baby equipment like cots etc... the cheapest place in Spain is Ikea... :) Thats where we got all our stuff for under 500€

Thanks everyone

And thanks to you Squiglet... I hadnt thought of Carrefour / Ikea at all!

Much appreciated.
