tranfering pictures from phone to pc...?

hiya, does anyone know how to do this? i have a cable that fits the phone & my old phone, but nothing comes up when i do it.
what do i click on on my pc?
or am i just being thick?
i've searched the user guide of the phone, but nothing??
plz help, would be much appreciated, oh the phones a motorola razr if that helps?

Does your PC make a noise when you plug the phone in?

If it does, go to "My Computer" and where it says "Local disk C" etc you should have an E drive called "Phone or something similar, click on that and you can look for files and drag them across.

If it doesn't make a noise your PC isn't detecting the phone and you will have problems.

Oh, also, after you plug the phone in check the phone's screen to see if you are supposed to select "file transfer" or something like that.

I got a software disc with my phone that you need to install on the pc before you can download the pics (and of course it isnt compatable with vista )
