Took my pregnacare tablet twice!

Hi girls with my baby brain in full force I managed to take two pregnacare tablets tonight. I only know because I started the tray on Saturday and there is one too many out of it. Do you think this will do baby any harm - the box is very specific about not taking more than the recommended amout! Why does this box not have the days of the week marked on the trays like the last box?? Grrr

Hi hun your body will just pee out any excess of the vitamins so it will be ok....maybes have smelly funny coloured wee but baby should be fine x

Try not to worry most of the time additional vitamins leave the body in the urine so ul prob have no adverse side affects. Mention to mw the next time you are in but I think you will be fine mayb buy a pill case with days of week on and fill it each week with the weeks pills? xx

Thanks girls. I think that's the first time I've done it so hopefully be ok. I've now written the days of the week on the tray with a permanent marker!

Your be fine if its a one off, besides the amount of the vitamins in there you can take additional on top like I have too, and it doesn't hurt,

I don't think you need to worry! I did something similar and accidentally took 2 folic acid tablets one day early on, and when I asked the doctor she said not to worry about it as they'll sometimes prescribe higher amounts anyway. Also I expect that everyone's vitamin intake varies day by day depending on what we happen to eat, so I'd imagine for the baby two Pregnacare tablets isn't too different from a day when you happen to eat lots of vitamin-rich foods!

You will be fine, PROMISE. I asked my GP and midwife about taking a second one as I was suffering with bad morning sickness....and wanted to know what to do if I thought I had brought up pills. They advised me to take another one...the GP and midwife both said that excess vitamins would be peed out.
