Too early for braxton hicks?

Hey ladies, im 18 weeks today and woke up last night with mad cramps through the whole of my belly...

They would come in waves and last about a min each time. I dont think it was poo pain (sorry if tmi) cause thats usually just lower abdo but this was whole bump...

Just wondering what it could have been as i thought braxton hicks were much later on. Anyone else had anything like this?

I read about them in my baby book a few weeks ago, so no i dont think thats too early. I have had a stomach cramp that felt like i had a rubber band constricting my stomach, for about 20 seconds. Apparently that is a Braxton Hicks.

I had braxton hicks at about 17 weeks, never had them with my DS and panicked at first until I asked someone about the tightenings and they said it was probably BH's and have had a few since but nothing to worry about apparently.
