Hey girls

Just wondering if anyone knows if tonsillitis can be dangerous during this stage? I know it can have issues during the birht part with group B strep but not sure if I should worry now? I woke up with a sore troat and im getting white dots on my tonsills too?

Give nhs direct a ring hun, if your gp surgery is like mine everyone disappears off the face of the earth at 4.30 xxxxxxxx

Is NHS direct just a general thing or is there a different one for each area? Iv seen girls on here mention it before but never heard of it !!

Went to chemist and he didnt know a lot just have me strepsils!!

Its a national number, someone takes your details and passes it on to someone qualified to deal with your query. 0845 4647, thats the right number even tho it looks like there's numbers missing xxxxxxxxx

I had it twice during the first 12 weeks of this pregnancy. Once it was so bad that my tonsils turned black & I was on antibiotics for a good 3 weeks.
The docs sent me for reassurance scans as I was so poorly but never mentioned it being harmful during pregnancy.
Hope it gets sorted & you feel better v soon xxxx

Baby will be fine hun they will give you antibiotics for it and they will be safe for baby I've had it twice so far plus ear infections just go see your gp babe xx

Hi hun, my GP said you cant take strepsils in pregnancy due to one of the ingredients. I thought i had tonsilitis and GP said i had like a cyst/ulcer on my tonsil hence the white spot and just told me to take paracetamol and drink plenty of hot drinks xx

Thanks Girls, Il stear clear of them and try calling tmrw to get app with Doc, I have my 20 week scan on Friday morn anyway not sure if the MW is able to perscribe antibiotics ? guessing they not doctors though so maybe not! but if worst comes to it and I cant get an app they might be able to do something

I just feel miserable and its my busy month in work with over time and all so cant even call in sick :-(
