tongue tie op tomorrow

Ella-Rose has a slight tongue tie so the gp referred us to the hospital. She's booked in for tomorrow to see the specialist and have the procedure done. Apparently because she's a baby they don't use anesthetic and the nurse on the phone said it's like getting your ears pierced has anyone else had this with their little ones? I know its a simple procedure but I can't help worrying

I went with a friend who's 10 day old got her tongue tie sorted and it was fine - LO cried for about 1 min just after it was done and then was fine after. There was a little bit of blood but nothing bad.

I'm sure she'll be fine Hun, I know it's going to be awful to think of her going through it but I'm sure she'll be back to smiles soon after. Let us know how she gets on?

Thanks ladies all done and she is already practising sticking her tongue out further! She cried like mad when they did it but soon stopped when I stuck her on my boob lol!

My LO had slight tongue tie apparently but he sorted it out himself thankfully!! It must have been horrible but at least she's ok now!!

Charley's got a Tongue tie but he can stick his Tongue out finally! I think his has sorted itself out itself!
