Wondering if anyone has any tried and tested ideas/recipes for batch cooking toddler meals you can then freeze and defrost as needed?

Currently I do the following:
Spag bol
Various pasta and sauces (eg I buy the fresh sauces from the supermarket and then make huge portions of pasta and split into toddler meal sized Tupperware)
Tuna pasta bake
Risotto
Shepherds/cottage pie
Mini pies (although the meat in these didn't go down well so will maybe try a veggie option)

Anyone got anything they recommend? With baby three arriving I want to make sure my freezer is fully stocked of meals for my two toddlers x

You can make fish cakes and freeze them? I do this for my daughter x

They all sound good. Would they eat a mild curry? if you batch make the sauce it's an easy meal to grab out of the freezer. :)

They might eat a curry - my son will eat anything, my daughter is totally fussy but loves rice so she might be convinced. Fishcakes are a great idea - I know they'll eat them and I can sneak some vegetables in too x

Rose, would you mind sending me recipes for all your meals please? I really struggle as I'm not the greatest cook and having pre-made healthy meals would be a godsend, especially as neither child will eat visible veggies!

No problem Kumber! PM me your email address and I'll just send you a photo of the recipes I use. Obviously the pasta ones I just use the carbonara or the bolognese sauce or the chargrilled veg sauce or tomato and mascarpone fresh sauces from tesco or Asda etc that you just buy in the fresh section. Then I cook up about 250g of dried pasta, stir in the sauce when it's cooked and then put into toddler sized tubs. Poundland sell packs of 3 Tupperware with those snap on lids that are great.

Risotto - I usually just guess with this. Basically I just get a load of whatever veg I have around or I get frozen veg like sweet potato, squash, broccoli, mushroom, peas, sweet corn, red peppers and always an onion and just throw it all in a pressure cooker with some vegetable stock. I have used those baby vegetable stock cubes you can get in Boots in the past when they were younger x

I make a bucket load of pasta/pizza sauce by either chucking it in the slow cooker or in a big massive pan then when it's cooked I blitz it down..
2-3 leeks, 1-2 red onions, half a pack of mushrooms, 2-3 courgettes, broccoli and/or cauliflower, about 3-5 carrots and I usually use passatta as I'm weird with bits of seeds from the tomato's but I have made it with two 400 gram tins of peeled tomatoes and some fresh tomatoes too.. and then freeze it in the size batches that I find useful.

There are millions of toddler recipes on Pinterest - seriously, more than you could ever wish for! It's my go-to place when I'm struggling for inspiration! I batch cook and freeze everything too- makes life so much easier! x
