Sorry for the gross information, but looking for some reassurance I guess.

Since Friday, when I go for a poo only, I get a weird dischargey mucus that mostly looks whiteish, but with a coating of feint brown mucus. It's hard to describe better than that. It's defo out my foof, and only when I poo never wee. I never had anything with Oscar and am just naturally concerned.

I spoke to a midwife who said it sounds perfectly normal and to only worry if I start to lose fresh blood! I know there is nothing I or anyone can do, but just wondered if anybody has experienced this, or similar?

I've not had this but the separating wall between the foof and anal passage is very thin and with the extra sensitivity of the foof in pregnancy maybe it's being irritated by the movement of the poop and making extra cm?

The rational side of me is saying that if it were something going on surely it would be continuous, or when I wee'd too?! But then the other, hormonal pregnant nutcase side of me wants to barge into epu, throw myself on the nearest ultrasound and scan myself like a maniac lol

I know it's early days, nothing is gauranteed and there is nothing I can do about it!! Guess I just have to take it easy and take each day as it comes! So frustrating lol

I know exactly how you feel. I have always had bad constipation with my ibs and since my bfp have eaten enough fruit and veg to feed a herd of buffalo lol, mainly because I've been worried that if i strain i'll push the baby out .
Try increasing your fibre and fruit/veg to make it easier to pass.......if it doesn't work am sure there's plenty of anarchists available to sit in at epu til they scan you xxxxxxxxxxx

lol@push baby out... my first pregnancy i was scared to walk the dog in case the baby fell out, seriously lol Nutcase!

I am eating loads of fruit, I always eat alot anyways and i've upped my veg and I know tmi, but am not having to strain to poo at all and... again tmi... the poos are very healthy lol, but just get this mucusy stuff. It happened Friday, saturday and today everytime! Not yesterday though!

Being pregnant is hard work lol

You lot are hilarious! It's an education on here...'foof' that's a new one for me!! Love it!! It's crazy how you discover a new awareness of your body and all its functions when you become pregnant. And how it becomes totally normal to discuss these new discoveries with total strangers!! So glad I have Pregnancy Forum!!
