TMI blood clots

Hi, I had my baby 2 weeks ago and lost a lot of blood and Had a 2nd degree tear. I've currently got a chest infection and been coughing all day- was stood up coughing and felt something slide out of my vagina- ran upstairs to check and there was a blood clot the size of a plum. Completely panicked as the white notes say large blood clots are code red and should be treated as a medical emergency. Rang the postnatal ward and they didn't seem too concerned- just said to call back if I get any more or heavy, fresh bleeding.

Anyone else had this? Can't stop worrying. X

Not personally but mw have warned me to expect clots of blood soon. When she said soon I thought I'd gotten a away with it but looks like it could still happen! xx

I had lots of big clots in the weeks after my last baby. This time they were in the few days after baby arrived. I had c-section though, so not sure if that makes a difference. All your coughing would have dislodged it.
