How do you stop foundation looking flakey after a few hours?

I use a good make-up but think its my skin?

there is this stuff made by gosh, its like a primer for make up, give that a go hun xx

just realised that was very vague, i'm gonna get off my ass and see what its really called

Its called GOSH velvet touch foundation primer. You can get the regular stuff or wrinkle decrease one, i think the regular one feels better on your skin. Good stuff like, i use it myself xx

super drug had it on special a few weeks back, dunno if its still on tho. Its canny expensive but well worth it, makes your skin feel awesome and your make up look like a TV advert model  xx

Oooh I might give that a try too! I need something better than the one I've got at the moment. Not that I ever get a chance to put make-up on right now  ...but we are out at a party on Saturday :yay:

I'd advise that too - along with regular face scrubs and lashings of moisturiser!

Plus twice a week I use a moisturising face mask too! I get severely dry skin!

Like bonny said, use a facial exfoliator twice a week and moisturise before you put your foundation on hun

Each time I change my hair colour I go to the Clinique counter to get a good match foundation.. The same girl says to me everytime, you could use £1 make up as long as your skin is well looked after, she said the key to a flawless look is exfoliation and moisturising x

I dont wear a lot of make up mamfy but when I do I used to have that prob too so I aksed my cousin whos a beauty therapist and she suggested mixing it with a little moisturiser too....no more flakes!! xx

I moisturise before hand :)
Only problem I really have with foundation is I'm so pale most shades make me look like I've been tangoed

defo tone and moisturise before foundation is applied. and as mention exfoliate at least twice a week.

there are 3 types of skin, oily, combination and dry, 9/10 people have combination skin (oily and dry), so if your oily, avoid moisturising as much and get some foundation that is specifically for your type of skin, if you aint sure which type you are, a beautician will be able to help.

boot, superdrug etc, all have makeup made especially for people with dry/oily skin etc.

Hope this helps....(that was the beautician in me coming out ) sorry lol x
