Anyone wAtching This Morning?

She's going for IVF at 50... Fair dos to her, she's lost 10 stone etc and is healthier now than she has been for 20 years!!

BUT she has just sat on national TV saying she's totally eradicated her diabetes??? this is just not possible, there's no research to prove it can be reversed!!

if I hadn't done a load of reading up on diabetes I'd be like 'oooh great, I can get rid of this awful, progressive disease!!'

Lol yeah was wondering this too.
Maybe she wasn't actually insulin dependant but that poorly controlled she was put on it?
Lol something's not right there.

She must be a bit mad wanting to chase round a toddler at 50+ o_O

I know! Well tbh it may look like she has got rid of it completely, but if she took a true GTT under test conditions it would show that she still has it??

I know, I find it hard now :) but good luck to her :) if she feels she can do it then why not!! :) xx

She might of only had type 2 I think it is that can mostly be diet controlled making you think you don't have it until you change your diet or eat too much sugar etc.

She did have type 2. My point is that she shouldn't be saying that she's cured lol you can't cure diabetes!! X

Type 2 can be in the way that it is lifestyle created... She will always be at risk of developing it again.... Type one is where the pancreas is effectively knackered so cannot be cured... Type 2 is a completely different cause and typically treatment

I know I have type 2. It cannot be cured and it is not always necessarily lifestyle related!

I just think she was wrong to say he cured! Yes, she may have been well controlled but not cured!! X
