Hi all.
Ive come from "Trying to Concieve" and thought it was time to introduce myself to everyone in the same boat as me
To say Im over the moon is an understatement. I thought Id share my story of my journey so far, if it does get too boring just skip this bit! hehe.
About 5 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. I was taking Norethisterone whilst I concieved. I took a test and sure enough, along with the other 5 they were all positive! Booked to see my DR and he said It should be a false positive as you cant get pregnant on Norethisterone! Few days later with painful cramping I took myself to my local A&E as they have an out of hours DR's attached. The GP told me my DR was rubbish and I was certainly pregnant, 8 and half weeks infact!
Brilliant! So being as impatient as I am I booked a private scan to see what we already called our "bean sprout". My partner was unable to join as he works in estate agency so he needed alot of advance warning. But I was absolutly fine with this. Off for my scan and nothing came up. The only thing she told me was that I had PCOS. My heart broke. She said if you were that far along you would see atleast the gestation sack. I was more worried to be honest about the PCOS. She said ill rescan you in one week and see what we can see. Pregnancy tests these days pick pregnancy up sooo early!
The following week came and I went for the 2nd scan, a horrible internal one! I got so embarrased! As soon as she started a sack came up instantly. Clear as anything. I was infact only 5 weeks. She said wait a week or so and you'll see a little more. So I decided to book a scan for following week and sure enough there was our "bean sprout" along with a heart beat! at only 6 weeks! My fiancee got to enjoy that moment too. I was just saying are you sure that is a heartbeat and thats not just mine!
So here I am now! 7 weeks and 1 day. With heavy breasts and sickness that strikes me at any time of the day, and night! It literally comes within seconds and when my body wants to be sick, wow, Im sick!
So, thats me! Im looking forward to going through all the forums and different posts. I may not post many as Im not experienced on this pregnancy lark or have any advice for anyone else, as Im so early but beware, I always have lots to ask!
Lots of Love
