I was hoping someone knows if its ok to use the thrush pessaries during the 2WW. I never get thrush anymore but I know the symptoms well as I used to get it often. I don't know if its ok or not? On the instructions it says if you're pregnant then the doctor may suggest application without the applicator so I am assuming it doesn't affect lining or implantation? I have been ttc over 4 years, I should know this. Was hoping someone had advice from a doctor or something. I am most likely not even pregnant but I don't want to hinder my chances xx

Hi Lisey, I wasn't sure about this either (still not) but I did actually use the canesten thrush pessary during the tww and that was the month I got my BFP. The doctor suggested it even though she knew I was tcc but then the chemist was dubious about it so I almost didn't use it. I did it anyway in the end as was in so much discomfort and it was fine- I'm now 24 weeks and have had no problems since. Having said all that they do advise against using it in pregnancy so you're right to read up about it. I think I was 5dpo when I took it. Hope you feel better soon!

I need to know this too, I'm only 1DPO but have woken up with thrush, normally a pessary sorts me out within a couple of days but I'm really wary about using one whilst TTC!

Thanks so much Ruby, I would go more by what the doctor says rather than pharmacist. So I will go ahead.
Its annoying isn't fairyprincess, I am going to buy some tomorrow xx

Very annoying- I get it about every 6-8 weeks. The pharmacist says you can only use a pessary every 6 months but what else am I supposed to do?!

I am sure you can use the pessaries days apart if its a bad case, could be wrong though.
Have you tried the oral capsule, wouldn't take it in the 2WW but I used to get thrush quite a lot and the tab really helped xx

I dunno, that's what she said to me so I just lied and said I hadn't used one in ages. Yeah, tried oral tablet and it doesn't work for me for some reason!
