We introduced a third meal last weekend, when Emily turned 6 months, and dropped a bottle - or at least tried to. But now she is demanding one if not two milk feeds during the night - we had dropped the milk feed before!! So, strangely, she is now having more solids, but also more milk...! It seems as though the solids do not satisfy her in the same way as the milk. Am wondering whether this may be a six month growth spurt - but wondered whether anyone else has found this?

Well as milk is the main food source until one and also a complete meal containing. Carbs, proteins and fat is probably more satisfying and nutritious than her dinner. I would let her have it I think.
Did you try to give her a bottle immediately after dinner so hopefully she only wakes once during the night?
One other possibility is that she is getting thirsty during the night maybe?

She still has her bedtime bottle as previously - I dropped the lunchtime bottle as she has a 'meal' then instead. I offer her water to drink, so hopefully not thirsty (although she doesn't drink much water!) I read that she should be having at least 500ml of milk in order to get enough nutrients from that. It just seems weird that she is having all that extra food in her tummy and still wanting the same, if not more milk! I will give her it, but am thinking maybe I should increase the amount if solids. She won't take more per meal - but maybe an afternoon 'snack' might help...?

Is she teething? Harlow hasnt had a night feed since she was 4 months old but all of a sudden she kept waking at 4am when she was 6 months old hysterical and would only settle with a bottle, this went on for 8 days and then low and behold two bottom teeth popped through and she started to sleep right through again. X

That has crossed my mind, but we had the two bottom teeth appear two weeks ago, so am thinking it's a bit too soon for any more to be coming through. But you never know... It could explain it!
