Thmb sucking

Ellie always sucks her left thumb. For those who have babies who sucked their thumbs did this indicate whether their baby was left or right handed? I am left handed and am wondering if this is a sign that Ellie will be too.

Charlie definitely favours his right hand already, and both me and DH are right handed. It sounds like Ellie takes after her mummy!

I read somewhere recently about this sort of thing. Apparantely they don't determine which hand they are going to be until they are about 2 ish. Up until that age they will favour different hands at different times.

my two daughters suck their thumbs. and i did too.

Emily and I suck our right thumb and we are both left handed
rebekah sucks her left thumb and shes right handed.

i know of other thumb suckersand it seems the same applies.

mm my eldest didn't or Bethany. They are both left haneded and showed very early signs of this. Where as rebekah who is right handed swapped and changed till she was about 2ish. strange that
