I disagree that all male circumcision is mutilation and child abuse- sometimes it is necessary for medical purposes and is done under medical conditions (ie, sterile and under anaestetic (sp)) My nephew will have t have the op done as he was born with a defect on this foreskin.

Sorry yes tangerinedream i agree with it for medical reasons (obviously) my brother and step son are both circucised as their foreskin was too tight and tore. Thats fine that is neccessary for health and must be done to prevent suffering.

I was referring to the vanity or religious act of circumcision which i just cant get my head around, its unnessessary suffering!

Hope your nephew is ok, my brothers healed very quickly and very well, i wish him all the best.
