We are not out of the woods yet but my grumpy, colicky, reflux little man is finally starting to turn a corner. We are off the opmeprazole I think the final decision was when he screamed so much having it last week he turned blue and inhaled it!!! So we have decided with the drs no more to just bare with it till we wean at 4 months.
He has finally started to understand that going to sleep does not mean missing out on anything or that mummy and daddy do not use sleep as some kind of torture on him. He is sleeping 10-4 having a feed and going down from 5-7:30. He then has a good 1 1/2-2 hr nap every day in his moses. We are trying the cot tonight as mum and dad brought him a new deluxe sprung mattress, spoilt git. lol.
We are slowly having more smiles than cries and we are starting to put on weight at a very steady pace. We are by no means out of the woods, we still scream in the car, buggy, bath, bouncy chair etc but we are more content to be held by others. My eldest and AJ have developed over the week the most amazing bond and sometimes AJ will cry just for Dylan which just makes me want to cry when I see it. The OH has also begun to step up to the mark to after the threat of having his bags packed for him. lol
