morning girls,

in a minute the wright stuff will be discussing infertillity on channel 5, just thought i'd let you all know! xx

I've only just turned it on hope I've not missed it!

very interesting, i never buy this argument about adoption though!! ......

Hmmm me neither, how strange what the were saying about incompatibility, never heard that before!

it was interesting. i think they were missing a lot of points due to the fact that they don't know much about it. if someone is struggling to conceive due to pcos..i would say that does make it an illness and not 'bad luck'

what did you think nurse?
x

Maybe thats like 'unexplained infertility' where they cant find anything wrong but people just arent compatible! how strange eh? must be rare though

Can I ask what you mean by you dont 'buy it'?

I watched this and thought that some of the comparisons they were saying just didn't work. You cant ask somebody would they rather give themselves a chance to have a child or save the bloke with cancer down the hall....:wall2:

As said above, they have to take into consideration the reasoning behind infertility. Pcos is a perfect example. This IS considered an illness so whats their views on that....

i mean that i don't 'buy' the argument when they bring it into the middle of an argument about infertility. i dont think it is up to anyone to suggest that an infertile couple should adopt anymore than suggesting a couple with children should. its a completely different subject. if you want to adopt, you want to adopt, it is not relevant to infertile couples unless it is their wish anyway - in my opinion, i may be wrong of course!

I agree, i think its unfair to suggest that infertile couples should just adopt like it would be the most obvious solution.

I do t think they took into consideration a womans physical need to carry and give birth to her own child when they said that. Also re Pcos I agree it's a medical condition and that it can actually lead onto problems later down the line if it's not addressed medically

I didn't watch it, i had Jeremy Kyle on in the background while i vacuumed instead

In JK they had a women with a very hairy face on and diagnosed her with PCOS as the cause - just to keep on topic :oooo:

JK is awesome, have to say he replaced my lost love of Sir Kilroy

xxx

I can take or leave JK, the people on it annoy me lots of the time, but then I have to hear a lot of that moaning during work and i'm just like pppppffffffffffft! Whatever!!
