Has anyone else been shocked by how little their OH really comprehends what a biological feat is occurring within their body and the toll it takes? My OH is away this weekend and when I was telling him how knackered I felt his reply was - isn't it a bit early for all that? Needless to say he was soon informed otherwise  !!!

I guess it's understandable to some degree, as us ladies are more in tune with our bodies and I'm sure as time progresses that'll change

   I think my OH made a remark like that in the early stages, so he too got an earache and I explained in great detail Why I was so bloody tired!!

Men, you have to love 'em!

I hope yours gets better as time goes on, mine has  xx

My OH was exactly the same when we first found out, whenever I would get symptoms he would tell me not to get too excited as it was early days (& I had had a mc before)- what? - I wasn't getting excited - I was feeling knackered and sickly?!

He did however admit to me that he didn't allow himself to feel that we were actually having a baby until last week, as he was worried it wouldn't make it - obviously we're still in first tri, so not through the woods yet, but he has asked if we can try again if this one doesn't make it - we weren't even trying before, but now he loves the idea of being a daddy and is very protective of me - waiting on me hand and foot when i'm too tired to get my lazy bum off the sofa - I could get used to that!

Maybe your OH just needs to get used to the idea that there is another life growing inside you - and that is tiring!
