Hay... is your hubbie SA too? I'm SA & my hubbie is Scottish. I do the swearing & cursing in Afrikaans!!! My DH has learned to speak Afrikaans & does it brilliantly! Our home language is English though.

Sorry to all the SA's overseas that can't be in SA this afternoon. The country has come to a stand still. The weather is awesome. You can smell bbq's as far as Botswana. The lagers are on ice & everyone is praying for a win against the Aussies.

I spent the 2 weeks squeeling "What the hell is THAT?!!!!" at every new bug Me and DD sat minding our own business and what we thought was a moth circling the light till it landed between us. Should have seen how fast we moved! It was a praying mantis.

He took me and DD into a field then right in the middle said "You should be ok the snakes are hibernating" Get me out NOW!!!!

Then I put my pj's on in bed and a centipede with a bright red bum fell out, I went hysterical

Oh and the spider which he kindly informed me was a hunter as it didnt have a web so it can jump quite far

Got our own back though, he kept banging on at us to not go near the electric fence then he walked through the gate and it got the top of his head

He always jammers away to himself in afrikaans when he's in the bathroom, never anywhere else just the bathroom
