The big bake thread!

So i know alot of us like to bake, especially since being on Matty leave so I thought we could leave pics of our efforts here...

Heres One I made earlier... Ok much earlier, I made a chocolate cake about a mth ago... Can you tell I was bored...

I wish I could post a picture of something lovely that I've made - unfortunately OH does most of the cooking in our house as I am rubbish at it

I think I am heating mouse shaped pizza's tonight so might take a picture if I remember

I made some cookies and brownies last night, they went to DH's work and I didn't get any pics though... I'm sure you can use your imagination

These are my last two:

It was a Honeycake.

Then:

That one was the mother of all chocolate cakes, in fact it's put me off chocolate for a bit!! Ha

I'm making a coffee cake for Saturday so I'll try to remember to get pics of that too!

Wow!! They both look soooo yummy!!

I'm baking a cake for the girls at work tomorrow, and then a cake for my Dad's birthday - Both Victoria Sponges - It's the only type of cake I can make reasonably well! I've made about 5 of them now lol.

I'll post pics tomorrow and Thursday (tomorrow of work cake and Thurs of Dad's bday cake!)



Oh, me and my brother made muffins yesterday!! There's only one left so I'll take a pic before it's scoffed and post it along with the others I'm planning on making!! x

Nah, I think it's Beko? It was super duper cheap and we bought it in very good condition as a sort of temporary when we moved in... nearly three years ago. It's doing pretty well for £50!

Im not really on the same page as you girls with all the yummy cakes, but I am doing loads of cooking. Been making big batches of meals to portion and freeze ready for OH while Im in hospital and also for the first couple of weeks at home with baby. Found it invaluable last time when I was just too damn tired to cook anything, or didnt have time with baby hanging off my boob! So today have made a huge batch of stuff with minced beef...lasagne, chilli, bolognese, homemade burgers and cottage pie! Got a fridge full of chicken to get cracking on tomorrow so just gotta figure out what Im gonna do with it!

Thursday is usually fun bake day for us, I try and do something with my son, so we usually make some rice crispie cakes or muffins etc. Last week we made play-doh instead though, so not quite as tasty!

Yummy!! All these cakes and food is making me hungry!! I go on ML next week so when I get back off holiday I will be baking loads, I love it and I love icing cakes too, I think I'm quite good at it! Mildly I love your mouse pizzas!

This is what I made two weekends ago, its called Chocolate Marshmallow Cake. Made with biscuits on the base (like cheesecake) then chocolate with marshmallows and whipped double cream then a layer of whipped double cream topped with grated chocolate! It's yummy!

I made pizza for the first time ever today, they were so cool. Mine was massive and DH's was the shape of a semi-circle, I couldn't get it to stay round!! LOL

I feel like I don't need to eat for a week now!

I'm glad you like them, they are Mickey Mouse pizza's from Tesco in case anyone wants to try them OH is the cook in our household, whereas I am limited in culinary ability

Heh, the white plates are the ones my Mum and Dad gave me when I left for Uni and the blue ones are OH's - how funny that they are the same as yours

Have you ever tried baking? Even if you get a simple recipe its so much fun even when it goes wrong

I used the breadmaker to make the dough for me, why do it by hand? Oh, except to make them not semi circles - ha!

I'm good with cheese scones and other cheese related baked goods. I think I'm just lazy because I consider it OH's job (and kitchen)

However I am going to attempt something this week as you have all inspired me
