testing before date?

I was just wondering if any of you had tried the pregnancy test that can detect if you are pregnant 4 days before your next period, if so did it work for you? I tried this morning and got a BFN i am not due until saturday, should i wait and try again then?
please let me know what you all think

I did a first response test three days early and it was neg . . .

This time I did another test a couple of days early and it was also wrong. So still plenty of time to get a positive. Good luck!

it took me til i was about 8 - 10 wks PG with all of mine to get a BFP no idea why! altho i knew i was from almost day one...
so like cat said plenty of time to get a positive yet

I got a strong positive at 12dpo on a Clearblue - this was about two days before AF was due. Also, when I got PG with my son 11 years ago, I used a Clearblue 4 days before AF was due and got a positive then too (not too strong but immediately visible anyway).

But, as Hevwithbump says, only half of pregnant women will get a positive result before the day their period is due.

If you don't mind the financial outlay (they are quite dear in comparison with other brands) then you could try again on Saturday, or some of the own brands are very good too such as Tesco's and Sainsbury's, and they're a bit cheaper (Tesco £4.95 for two tests, again I got a strong positive 2 days before AF was due). i tested 4 and 5 days early with both my girls and they showed up on the stick

personally i would wait till you are two weeks late or something before you test. That way you are likely to get the correct result and you don't have to buy loads of testers.

Its easier said than done but i would wait until your at least 1 day late. I spent loads on tests and in the end when i did get pg it showed the day after and i still ended doing more tests just to make sure.
