I take Evie's temp using an underarm thermometer from Mothercare with the fever alert in it.

Her usual temp is 36.4 but she's been a bit higher last night and today. She's been at 37.7 last night and 37.2 tonight.

What I'm confused about is the normal underarm temp is 36.1 to 37.1 I think...

so does that mean she has a fever cos she is above the normal range? And why hasn't the alarm gone off on the thermometer?

I'm so confused by it...anybody shed any light here?

Sounds like her temp is slightly high but not a fever kinda thing, i was told by my GP that anything over 37.5 is classed as low fever. Hope that helps :)

I agree, it its just a little bit high then its worth keeping an eye on it but if it stays below 37.5 then I wouldn't worry too much. I'd keep an eye on it over the next few days and if it doesn't settle then speak to your doc but don't think you need to worry right now.

thank you everyone

i honestly don't know what I'd do without this forum
