ive actually forgotten what adult tv is like.

Like Joey from Friends says - if you don;t have a tv, where do you point your furniture to?!

shamefully, when isla was tiny and up late....

i caught her watching sexsetera :rotfl: she looked a bit puzzled :?

Willow has only started watching TV this last ...ohh...month or two? We don't have the TV on unless there is something we specifically want to watch, usually after willow is in bed. Having it on all the time gives me a really bad headache. When she was under a year i didn't see the point in her watching it. I was going to have a complete ban until she was 3 a la health organisation. However i reconsidered, because i didn't want to turn it on when she hit her 3rd birthday and deal with a suddenly TV addicted child. So this last few months she's been watching Bagpuss and ITNG and Brambley Hedge. She watches it maybe two or three times a week. I want her to grow up regarding TV as something that's fun and informative, but not a constant, primary form of education.

In one room the fireplace, in the other all seats face towards the centre of the room. As that is a very good area for DD to sit I guess you could say the furniture points towards the baby

I haven't been too keen on letting LO to watch too much TV. I rather get her to play with her treasure basket (a basket full of every day items such as a pastry brush, wisk and spatula) when I want to get things done. Having said that, it was much easier until recently as she no longer necessarily STAYS with her treasure basket - particularly not for too long.

So if I need to get something done I strap her in her high chair and let her watch kids' programmes for a while.

When OH or in-laws are with her she watches telly more. I don't particularly have anything against telly, but I think she'll have plenty of opportunities to watch it later. We never watched much telly as kids.

When LO is with me she usually watches telly about three times a week and max. 30 minutes. We are often too busy :D

I do watch news and documentaries myself, but LO seems to prefer to play on a floor :D We do go to cinema about twice a month and she loves watching the big screen in my lap (until she gets bored and wants to start exploring the world). However, she is only allowed in the babies screening for another 2.5 months :x

That sounds interesting, is it a special baby screening you go to? How long will your LO sit and watch, also which cinema do you to to and what sort of films do they show?

When I'm home alone with Logan in the morning we usually have either cbeebies, or a music channel on for background noise. I hate daytime tv so don't normally watch it.

When James comes home from school he likes to watch nickleodean or he plays on the ps3. Logan loves watching him play lego starwars

Rudy watches INTG, I will either sky+ it or he will watch it when it is on depending on how our day pans out. It is a brilliant way to get a bit of time to do some chores.

I also put baby first on in the background which is good and aimed at babies rather than children. They have different programmes for different developmental stages etc. Crap for the mother though!
