Keiron will be 5 months old xmas eve. For the past 2 weeks he has been really really dribbly and red cheeks so people have said his first peggy may be on its way. BUT the last 3 days he has been sooo different to normal. All he does in wimper and grizle, he only sleeps for half and hour at a time during the day rather than 2 2hr sleeps and he is being a little bugger to put to bed at night. I know this could all be down to his teeth hurting but he is also off his food and the little he does eat he brings back. I gave him some calpol earlier and then layed him down on the rug. I now have a nice pink stain on my rug  so that didnt work either.
Is the sickness all part of it?
I tried calling my doc to ask him and i got his usual response- "leave it, babies do this sort of thing but they always get better." :wall:
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like teething hun....your Lo has all the symptoms...loss of appetite is one too.
Hope the toothy peg arrives soon.

sounds like teething. My son was a nightmare at this stage but sorry to say doesnt necessarily mean they're guna pop out! My son showed the worst signs of teething around 5months but nothing! then at 8month suddenly they were there! no signs at all! i was positive they were guna come through at 5months when they were driving him mad. My HV said sometimes its more painful when they're moving around in the gums than actually cutting.

I just edited that a little bit because it's exactly how we've been
Just felt his gums and he has a tooth bud on the top left side :cheer:

The problem is he has only just turned 2months old this week and he can't hold anything properly to use a teether :wall:
He is chewing his hands (and my arms when I'm holding him lol) but he just keeps spitting his dummies out and I really don't know what to do with him.
He's starting to stress me out with whinging so much and spitting saliva all over his clothes so I have to change him about 3 times a day

Any advice ladies???
Save me starting another topic lol.

Hi
Keiron was spitting his dummy out aswell and the teether spent more time being poked in his eye rather than his mouth so I put his dummy in a steralised bottle and then into the fridge. He was quite happy to take it then.
Give it a try it maight work for you.
Good luck
