I have just searched high and low for a grade one teething ring for Alfie. Just when i was about to give up, aha, at the very bk of the stage 2 teethers i spied a stage one, so i was like a mad women throwing teething rings everywhere to get to this teething ring, it was as if i was on search for the holy grail, i was getting closer to it and then i got to it ... IT WAS PINK! well, to be more prescise pink/purple/violet! so i bought it, my boy needs it so my boy has it ... just one problem, what on earth will ian say when he comes home to find his boy munching on a florenscent pink barbie type teether? I cant wait, hes bk friday now do i tell him and pre warn him his boy has turned pink or do i let him find out give him the element of surprise?

NOT HAPPY! WILL NOT BE TELLING IAN ANYTHING! Sterilised it, i have a microwave steriliser the bloody thing melted! that right it melted now i have no hope it was the last one and iv gone and sodding melted it! Very upset! my poor lad

Oh no that's gutting :( Poor Alfie with nothing to chew on!

im going into town tomorrow to get him one, have no fear ladies, and at least it wont be pink xxx

:cheer: yay someone else to join my DUH I STERILISED A TEETHING RING CLUB!!!!!!

sorry hun i shouldnt laugh but i did the exact same thing with one of alex's rings - totally melted and all the liquid inside was leaking out. felt such a nana as everyone i told was like - well ofcourse you dont sterilise them. Well i Bl**dy know that now dont i

alex was never very keen on teething toys anyway - he always liked my fingers!

if its any use i have one of these

its like a dummy but shaped to go on gums. alex never took to it so its barely used. can be sterilised too. would happily send it too you if you want to try it but totally understand if you dont want it.

:D

Iv seen them, they do look good but Alfie wont take a dummy at all, and he seems happy having a munch on my fingers, lol. thankyou for the offer hun but im almost positive he wont take it, poor little guy, i put it in the fridge anyway his teething ring and when it had settled there was one side (its in a triangle sort of shape with 3 teething bits) that looked in tact, thinking i may have been able to salvage it i gave it a soft sqeeze only for it to explode everywhere all over me, and alfie laughed his head off lol, well giggled, sorry if this sounds gross but all i can compare it to is a spot thats erupted.

oh well at least seeing it explode cheered him up :D

hope you get one today. alex still tries to chomp on my fingers if he has new teeth coming but now he has 8 teeth he bites before my fingers are anywhere near his gums!!!! he doesnt mean too bless him but i still have to stop him as i dont want him biting everyone!!!

I got a 2 pack from Tesco's one was green one was red. They are designed to go in the fridge so they are cool to use. IIRC they said they weren't suitable to be sterilised. I am not worried about sterilising them as she is at the stage where everything goes in her mouth. First she touches it, she then attempts to put it in her mouth. It is really funny to watch her attempt to put her book in her mouth, I don't think she quite understands how big her mouth is yet. :)
