tax rebate?

I got one ages ago! A good few months!

was that for tax credits? this is a rebate for working tax, they started sending them out last weekend

Can I be really dim and ask what a tax rebate is? As in, when would you get one?

Tax rebates started coming out months ago-I unfortunately didn't get 1 last time but they have just started dishing out last tax years (which is the 1 ur referring to) but I doubt il get 1 this time either :sigh:

A tax rebate is what they give you when you have paid too much tax. So when you get a wage a portion gets taxed, at the end of the year they tally it up and if you have been taxed too much, you get a rebate

I got 600 quid back which I was soooo pleased with...till my OH pointed out that I'd paid almost 10k in tax so 600 back wasn't huge :/ lol x x x

600quid is quite nice though isnt it! we got 600 quid last year around this time, so hopefully will get the same again!

Yea it was tax rebate! I'd been employed for 3/4 months out of the last tax year! Got it well before I moved so it's atleast 6 weeks ago!

It's for different tax years. Ppl get rebates every year but the tax office messed up 2009/2010 and 2010/2012

Oo would be nice to get something, I never get rebates! My mother on the other hand has had a few and all she's ever worked is pt cleaning jobs!
