Tax on SMP

And NI and pension too if you have one....

It isn't a huge amount though and I have had tax rebates the last 2 months now that my SMP has ended, here's hoping they continue until I go back in Jan!

As the mount you would receive falls under the monthly tax allowance you shouldn't be taxed. It depends on your payroll office though as to whether you don't get taxed at all - or if you will recieve a rebate.

I don't get taxed but I don't get SMP from my employers as I wasn't there long enough to get it form them

Edit:  Sorry, I get SMA not SMP. I get them muddled ;)

SMA... enjoying the formula, are you :rotfl:
(Sorry, that made me laugh  )

You pay tax at 20% and NI at 11% on all your earnings over £6000 for the financial year. So whether you will be due to pay tax depends on your earnings since April.
