Just wondered if anyone earnig the same ammount or in a siular situation can tell me if the ammount of tax credits i get are right. I have tried the tax credit calculator and i get a completly different ammount.
Me and my partner earn a combined ammount of 33000 a year. Before i had mollie i was getting £44 a month. Now i have declared mollie it has gone up to £77 a month. This just doesnt seem like alot its only an extra £33 , dont get me wrong im greatful for anything but i thought in the 1st year of a babys life it was a little bit more then it goes down after there 1st birthday.
Is anyone else getting roughly the same with that ammount of income.
Any response would be great, just dont wanna phone them and be wrong without a proper reason.

Looks about right if both of you are working and no child care to be paid.

Try the entitled to website it can work it out for you

I don't think that's right.

In a child's first year you should get about £80 every four weeks then it halves after their first birthday so £120 if you've one child under one and another over one.

I'd give them a call as I don't think that's correct.

Hi
Just wondered if you'd sorted this out as we get the same amount as you and also have 1 child under one and an older child.
We used to get about £40 - now it's just under £80 - and is due to go back down to £40 again when baby is 1.
I'd be interested to know what happens as I also thought we'd get a bit more than we are doing.
From what valentine says we should get £80 for the baby and £40 for the older child but in fact they only seem to pay for the child who entitles you to the most money (if that makes sense) and nothing for the other child!

Im just waiting to see what goes in my bank account this month as i dont understand the breakdown on the sheet they send. but as soon as i find out i will update the thread
