and stopped takin the injections!! i havent injcted today or yesterday and ive felt fine...no dizziness, feelin faint etc so gonna discuss with my mw on monday about permanently stoppin them....the more i read about it the less i like it. It clearly states in the leaflet that they shouldnt b used in pregnancy unless essential and since ive never had a blood clot etc i dont see it as essential. also it says that it shouldnt b used whilst breastfeedin, consultant wants me to take it till 6 weeks after birth!!
Then ive also thought that surely takin somethin that stops my blood clotting isnt gonna b helpful after birth, and surely is pure dangerous if i ended up with another c-section?? xx

Sounds like you have really thought about this Hun, and sound happy with your descision - so that's great. Ask your midwife to talk you through the pros and cons just to check when you see her in a few days, just to be on the safe side - does sound a little strange from what you say.

I had a choice of 4 hospitals that are all fairly local to me (within 20 miles) i chose the 1 i've had my previous babies at and were i was born etc and that is the only hospital out of the 4 that is prescribin the clexane injections for high bmi!? xx

strange , perhaps they are trialing it, but perhaps not with your baby! It's not like youv'e not done this before and you were going to the gym all the time in TTC and early Tri 1 , so nice and active anyway

Hey hun....im on aspirin which isnt recommended but have to with my condition and with the other tablets i am taking. They outweigh the risks when they recommend the risks. I would get in touch with them as soon as possible regarding future of this drug, u dont want to risk anything. I have stopped reading stuff on the net as it does sometimes tend to give the extreme of situations, medications. Best to speak to mw or specialist xx

Hey hon, I have protein C defficiency and have to inject clexane for 6 weeks after each pregnancy. It isnt ideal and it burns a bit but I had a really good meeting with my consultant about it and felt a lot better after asking them lots of questions. They only prescribe it where they consider risk to be too high to ignore (all women who have a c-section have 3 days of it) so before u stoip, I would just have a chat with them about what they consider the issues and risks to be and the implications of stopping. I hate it personally and dread using it after this pregnancy but i breastfed whilst using it with no probs at all x x x

i dont get why they would give to you with no history just because your bmi high id ask for a second opinion tbh my bmi is alot higher than most peoples and never been mentioned to me

My bmi was higher with my previous pregnancy and didn't have any problems apart from him been undetected breech, but that was nothin to do with my blood. I asked at the hospital and they just said it's a new thing to this hospital which is y I didn't have it last time x
