take a break - then come back to it later

if, like me, you have been arguing with your OH over names, not been able to decide, etc. my advice would be to take a break and come back to it a bit later (for those who have time lol)

i found that the more we talk about it the more silly arguments we have, e.g. DH's not pronouncing the names I choose properly etc.!!!
I also feel that I've been suggesting lots of nice names, and so has he, but because we discuss it literally EVERYDAY, so now we have started to take some very nice names for granted. it's like we no longer appreciate them!

so i told my DH that we will spend a few days without mentioning new names for now, then maybe later we'll bring it up again.

we couldnt agree on names either (god what a nightmare choosing names was!) we wrote lists and looked at each others and went bleurgh! then when i was 36 weeks pregnant i said what do u think of melissa? to my surprise he was quiet for a moment then said i like it!

We decided on ours before I fell pregnant as I didn't want the hormones addling my brain and making me choose something awful like Nebuchadnezzar Ezekiel (with apologies to anyone who may actually be considering that combination!).

Marc wouldn't make any suggestions himself, though, so I just got him to rate my shortlist until we finally found names we agreed on for either gender. And we both really like the ones we have chosen, so mercifully have not had to argue about it while I'm pregnant!

I decided on a name at 16 weeks before i knew the sex!

But iwould say to anyone but settle on anything cos i wish in a way i hadnt know!
