Hi girls,

I have what seems like a silly question but it's annoying me right now.

Did your fingers swell up so bad that you couldn't get you wedding rings on?

If they did how long did it take for them to go back to normal and did you ever get your rings back on?

Yes, my fingers swelled up, but I cant remember when they went down again

i had swelling throughout 3rd tri.

watch out for hand & face swelling accompanied by headaches & visual disturbances, as could indicate PE.

I had this with Kiaras pregnancy so wore my rings around my neck but it went away a few weeks after i had her.

My hand usually swell as the day goes on along with my feet. Iv had to take my ring off too, its just too pain full to wear now. Hope it goes soon after birth.

I'm having to wear my wedding rings on my little finger now as they are so fat.

I have put on a lot of weight and my hubby wants to get me an eternity ring. He has chosen one but I keep stopping him from ordering it as I want it to fit correctly.

I hope my fingers go back to normal quite soon as I can't wait to get my eternity ring and also I really don't want to try to get my other rings stretched. xxx

i had to take my rings off a few weeks ago, at least i wont loose them in hospital\!

My hands & feet swelled up every night in the last 8 weeks of pregnancy. I ended up being admitted to hospital at 37 weeks with suspected pre-eclampsia though. Mention it to your midwife next time you see her just to be on the safe side. And if you get swelling anywhere else, headaches , or see flashing lights before your eyes call someone straight away.

If it is just water retention it probably won't go away until after baby is born.

my fingers swell up almost from day one... I had to take my wedding ring off at 16 weeks this time. All my rings have gone now... but its nothing to do with pre eclampsia in my case... I just have quite bad water retention.

Got checked by the midwife and I don't seem to have any signs of PE. Looks like it's all water and I'll just have to get on with it and hopefully it won't be too long before I get my rings back on and a beautiful eternity ring to match. xxx
