Sweep question?

Well due for a stretch and sweep tomorrow, after Saturday's attempt couldn't be done.

Is it painful? and can you have sex once it has been done?

it's uncomfy but not painful.just 2 fingers doing a circular motion round the babys head.
there will be abit of jelly mucus after it but that will be a combination of the lubricant the midwife used and our own bodyily fluids!

I wouldn't know about the sex thing cause i was too annoyed with the fact i was overdue.

just like being fingered with a bit more pushing at the top...try and relax as much as possible ..you might notice some ming in ya pants afterwards and some cramping but nothing major..cause you can have sex after

i felt really sore and bleed aftermind, so didnt fancy having sex tbh. but mine seemed to be worse than most peoples too. My waters had already broke tho - not sure if that makes a difference

no mine nearly made me cry but i had this horrible man who just basically tried to chove his whole hand up me and was extremely rough and nasty- he said if its too uncomfy tell me and i'll stop..i gritted my teeth for as long as poss and then said ow it hurts can you stop a sec...he carried on so i said OW STOP then he tutted loudly and snapped off his gloves told me honestly how are you going to give birth..and then wrote really massive across my notes UNABLE TO TOLERATE SWEEP!!!!

ooh i'm fuming again writing that! i don't think it would have been bad at all if i had someone decent doing it- so don't let that worry you..good luck!!

I felt like I was shoved up the bed the consultant did it with such force, I felt violated and had a very very long bath after!

I had some discharge the following day and two days after got this snotty like mucus stuff, was very weird.

Also got offerred another one today, which I declined, surprise, surprise!

Ooh what a horrid man! Someone should try sticking that snooker cue up his arse and see if he tolerates it!

Sorry Moofa, can't help you about the sweep but I hope it goes well for you. All I can say is try to relax as things tend to hurt more when you tense up
