Hi

http://www.babykind.co.uk/swaddlebees.htm

Was wondering if anyone has used these at all? Ive been looking at loads of them and getting myself all confused but think I like the look of these as I don't think you need an additional wrap etc.

Would be grateful of any advice/tips/pro's & con's etc!

Thanks

I haven't used one of those but I do have one of these:
http://www.babykind.co.uk/magicalls.htm It's really great, a fab fit and so compact! I always take it with me if I'm out and about. Plus it dries really quickly and is just as absorbent as pampers (which I used to use)

Pocket nappies are good aswell - I have fuzzi bunz, wonderoo and nature baby ones. Out of the 3 my fave is the fuzzis.

But my absolute fave nappies are from here: http://www.weenotions.wahmall.co.uk/traderplus/ I have one of their pocket nappies in such a pretty pattern. You can completely design your own out of their fabrics and they are such friendly ladies.

Ahhh just seen that Suzanne isn't making any for a while - she was really busy around real nappy week, guess that's why.

Oh I love them Kina!

Little confused though! Am guessing you just need the nappy itself and recommended liner with the pocket one? But no wrap though?

And the Wee wonder nippa/original you don't need a liner but you do need a wrap?

Do you know how much they cost too as its not on there cause of her not making some at the moment?

Thanks!

With the pocket you just need a booster (I have one of the recommended ones but it's quite bulky, so tend to use it if she's going to be in it for a while, like on a longish car journey etc). I have some of the microterry boosters and some tots bots terry boosters from Babykind that I use (normally use 3 microterry as DD is a heavy weeer!). You don't need liners with either of the nappies (nor do you need them for fuzzi bunz, magicalls, wonderoos etc). All wee notion nappies have adjustable leg elastics so you can get a really good fit with them, it's not that fiddly to change and means the nappy grows with your baby. Their normal nappies are like pocket ones in the way that you put your boosters inside the nappy, you can also order them with a booster sewn in to the nappy (it pulls outside when you are washing for easier drying). This booster is a lot smaller than the ones that you can order seperately for the pocket nappy, I normally use a microterry booster in the nappy aswell.

The wraps from Wee Notions are very generously sized and go over my tots bots, they are also really pretty. You use a wrap over a normal wee notion nappy, but not the pocket nappies as the inside of the outside layer (if that makes sense!) is a pul layer which is waterproof.

I much prefer the WN nappies as you don't need a liner - I found that the disposable liners that I use with my tots bots keep the moisture next to Ella's skin, but fleece ones are excellent. I can honestly say that when she has a layer of fleece next to her skin she stays bone dry - I never expected it to be honest! I used disposables until she was 4 months and thought she'd get really bad nappy rash with me changing, but she's fine. She had a bit when she was teething but I think she would have done anyway even if Id stuck to disposables.

God I hope that I haven't confused you - I know when I made the change to reusables I was dreadfully confused! If you have any other questions or want me to really basically spell things out let me know (I don't mean that in a horrid way, I just found the whole thing really confusing at first!).

My pocket nappy was £8.50 (the big booster was £5 on top but you can use other boosters)
My wraps were £9 each (they are really pretty and have poppers which are a lot better than velcro for when bubs is bigger and learns how to unstick themselves!)
The normal nappies were £10 each with a fold out booster.

I also have one of the change mats without a pillow and it's really sweet. Folds down nice and small in my bag. I went a bit mad to be honest as I have a sling in the pink daisy fabric and now Ella has a nappy and a change mat in the same design

My wee notion nappies are drying at the moment but when they are dry I will take some pics of them and also Ella wearing one for you :D

Thanks so much Kina and pics would be great! I think ive got my head around them now! Just got to find some (lots of) money now!

One other thing, how many would you suggest getting?

Well I have 12 various kinds of tots bots, 1 nature baby stuffable, 1 wonderoo, 1 magicall, 2 fuzzi bunz, 1 wee notion pocket, 2 wee notion nappies and an april cottage nappy and I do a wash after 2 full days (gives me a day to dry them) and I am normally fine. DD doesn't need changing in the night though anymore and she wears a disposable then (still got nearly 200 that I bought before I changed over). My fuzzis, wee notion pocket and wonderoo dry really really quickly so I just have to make sure I have lots of dry boosters :D

Just quickly posting these as Ella is having a meltdown  This is the pocket nappy I have from wee notions. It's gone a bit bobbly as I wash it in with my white tots bots
Sorry the pics are quite big!
