Super early ovulation = very confused!!!

No idea whats going on with my body!
Had higher hopes than normal for my miracle month, bd loads and loads on holiday which was perfect timing (i test opk and temp) normally other half has low sex drive but the sun did the trick!! Anyway i had a colposcopy on 12 dpo nurse did preg test and it was negative (colposcopy clear too) temp dropped and AF came 2 days later. Gutted!
But it only lasted 2.5 days usually i am 4. For some reason i did opk test yesterday and it was postive temp still low though. Opk again today temp higher but really strong opk, tested again on clearblue dig and solid smiley. Did hpt and of course negative. I am only cd 5!!!
Is it really possible to ovulate day 4 or 5?? Surely egg wouldnt be mature enough. Unlike me, 43

I just went through exactly this last month!!!

Had an on time but super light/weird period, then ovulation signs on CD6/7. AF came on CD23. I don't know what the deal was, I think the short cycle was probably one where my body gave me all the signs of ovulation, then failed to actually ovulate. I hope this cycle is normal again, we'll have to wait and see.

I don't have any real advice because I don't know why our bodies can be so cruel, but you're not alone.

Honestly i think im going mad. I have just been googling "can you be pregnant with 2 day period" and loads of people say yes. I know opk can be positive if you are preggers which is why i took a hpt. Temp is low. So i know deep down im not but i cant help my crazy thoughts. Ovulation on day 5 just seems ridiculous so clutching at straws! Suppose i could just be having lh surge and not actually ovulating yet but i did have temp drop yesterday. Gggggrrrr frustrating

A two day period is fine according to my fertility doctor. I got pregnant on 2 day periods. That does seem super early for ovulation. At our age it is possible to ovulate more than once per cycle ...
