such a long wait!!

hi everyone am new on here my names hayley and am 25. was just wondering how everyone copes with there long wait for first scan. mine is not till the 11 march and it seems like forever away. am stressing every day so worried all the time. dont know how ill manage to get through the next 5 weeks. does any one eles feel like this? xxx

got my first scan this monday and have been counting down the days...it feels like i've waited months! just want to make sure everything is ok so understand what you're going through.

its awful having to wait for scans, im waiting for my 20 week scan and it seems to b taking forever to get here, its on 18th feb so not too long to wait now xxxxx

thank you. it kinda of doesnt feel real at the mo cos doctors have not really done much other than book me in for scan and then i see midwife for first time straight after scan. but am sure it will soon be here. its nice to read evey one posts on here makes me feel a lot better x

Try not to worry as that wont help - I would try to take your mind off of the scan, difficult I know but it wont come around any quicker by worrying

if u really really cant wait why dont u pay for an early 1? thats if u have the money .my friend couldnt wait so she paid for a private 1 i think she paid £45 which isnt 2 bad.

Yes I completely feel like that!! I have known I am pregnant since New Year's Eve (wanted to do a test just to be safe rather than going out getting drunk - didn't expect to actually BE pregnant!!) and as a result I feel like I've been pregnant forever! I have my first scan on 26th February, roll on the next couple of weeks! x

oh god, the waiting game is awfulll! I had an emergency scan at 9 weeks, and now they have said i wont have another til 20!!! :O what a long waiitttttt!
Just enjoy the time to yourself tho, becoz soon youll be at midwife every 2 weeks!!xxx

Hiya, Yeah its such a waiting game! Luckily for me I had christmas before mine so I had some distractions but it was still hard! Good luck tho hun, you can pass your time on here, I do!!

Did anyone have a scan before 12 weeks? Is it normal to get one or is that only if there is something they need to check?

mine was 11 weeks 5 days but I think thats just my midwife not being very good at maths!! People have had them earlier if somethings been wrong but if you have one at say 8 weeks, you dont really see much and then you dont get your 12 week scan cos youve had one. So really its better to wait!!
